Capture and Separate Mist
When the pig is returned to its home base pig launching position in the pipeline, it pushes air, mist, and residuals from the line. Where alternative methods, such as routing back to a supply tank or drain are not practical, a Demister is used to capture this air and allow the mist and residue to separate before exhausting to the atmosphere or air recovery system.
